The holidays are around the corner and soon we'll be saying "Goodbye to 2021." A connection I made this year was with a fellow writer, Alan Mehanna, who introduced me to the concept of drinking and absorbing your affirmations. It's a wellness practice that keeps you hydrated and encourages positive vibes.

What are words of affirmation?
Words of affirmation are consciously selected words to bring focus and intention to your day, task, year, or life. The words encourage healthy habits, positive self-images, and uplifting vibes.

️I was first introduced to yearly "star words" to explore at Neighborhood Church. You randomly select a facedown word written on a star-shaped piece of paper and see what meanings it reveals throughout the year. One of my most powerful experiences was with "clarity." You move much more strongly and confidently when you have a clear direction of where you are headed. This word also helped me identify what I really want in a partner.

In yoga, practices often begin with a word of affirmation to set an intention for your session and your day. My favorite FREE yoga teacher to practice with is Yoga with Kassandra on YouTube.
