I am passionate about telling stories of women who refuse to be victims of any circumstances and undergo difficult transformations to be more vibrant, confident, and courageous in their lives.

Female Writer & Director based in Atlanta, GA. Working as a below the line crew member for 10 years, I am well rounded in how crews function and how to successfully make my day as a filmmaker. I have worked as a below the line crew member in the Art Department on numerous projects such as Netflix’s Stranger Things and Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver.

Currently I am working on developing more projects as Director and/or Writer so I can be hired full-time in those roles. I have experience in comedy, drama, and made a western period piece. Be sure to check out my Films section. I have a Blog and YouTube Vlog on how to make connections & thrive in the film industry. Many people have asked how I have gotten to where I am today, so I am creating deliverables to answer some common questions.

“I reached out to Michelle after seeing a USC alumni video about her and the incredible work she has been doing in Atlanta. I was fortunate to be able to get her on the phone, and we had a great conversation where she told me about her experiences, what to expect, and how to seek production work in Atlanta. She also has a series of videos on YouTube that really helps explain the Atlanta film industry, the best ways to reach out to people, and how to move up through the industry. Less than a month after contacting Michelle and watching her videos, I got a job as a PA after I was struggling for 5 months finding anything in the Atlanta film market. She has been a huge help, and I couldn’t have done it without her. She’s well connected in the industry and definitely a person you want to know!”

“Michelle Caruso is fast proving herself as a storyteller of substance, drawing on her numerous experiences in the art department on a very impressive slew of major films and television series. The films she herself is making are very clearly influenced by the films that most shaped her artistic sensibilities. She never ceases to amaze.”
